Yesterday was very busy. Peter and I went shopping again to try and find clothes for the taping of our new video. Unfortunately, we were not successful. However, over the past couple of days we have done a lot of things in preparation for the first filming of the new video series, which will occur tomorrow.

I also went back to my illustrations. In order to get back into the whole drawing experience, I pulled an old image from my portfolio that I had been working on a year ago. It's called Gaia. I was able to finish the image and now I'm able to start back on the illustrations for the first book in the Phildor series - A MOST CURIOUS MAGICAL TALE. I'm going to start with the storyboarding and move back to the title page. I have some new ideas and want to start again from scratch. I hope to present two or three potential images that combine aspects of the story with the illustrations to put into the gallery on my web site. I've attached the image that I was working on last night. It's very complex and tells a story. The image is Yin Yang symbol. Inside the Yin Yang symbol is the goddess Gaia. She is represented by the tree of life and in this image you can actually see the goddess morphing into the tree of life. The tree of life represents The Four Seasons. In the image you can see the buds of spring, the flowers of summer, the full leaves of summer, the berries of fall, and then the shriveling trees of fall and finally, the barren leaves of winter. In the background I have represented the male and female aspects of the Yin Yang symbol with the sun in the top half and the moon in the bottom. I've also represented earth, wind, and fire through the volcano, the waterfall, the lake the grass at the root of the tree, and finally, the butterflies and dragonfly in the air. This illustration was my attempt at expressing the importance and the interconnectedness of all things here on earth.

Please note that I have updated the P.S. statement at the end of my blog entry.

Best wishes always…

P.S. Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog! My intention is to keep followers up to date on my latest writing adventures. My current focus is on fiction genres including children's picture books and Women's Fiction novels focusing on fantasy, romance and historical elements.  I'm also preparing to write an epic fantasy for the young adult audience and a standalone paranormal murder mystery. As a debut author, I face all the challenges of breaking into the traditional publishing market. I need your interest and support to do so! Please consider following me here and on other social media platforms, which you can access on the Home page of my author's web site. I'll be adding more in the weeks to come as my son and I create a YouTube gluten free cooking series, so please check back from time to time as I add new non-fiction materials to my entries. Thank you so much, in advance, for following my blog. You are potentially helping me enrich the lives of future readers. I just need this break to attract my first agent representation! Your efforts will make all the difference! Thank you once again.
