Sept. 25 - 26, 2025 - Crash!

This has been one of the busiest weeks I can remember in the recent past. Every day I've taken on challenges from the moment I woke up to the time my head hit the pillow. I've accomplished so many things in spite of being in a fibromyalgia flare up caused by a combination of stress and the weather. We have done a tremendous amount - preparing for the video, writing the research material for the rice informational document, shopping for a new dress for the video filming and sending out query letters. All in all, it's taken quite a toll on me both physically and mentally and I've finally hit the wall. I've decided that this weekend I'm just going to put my feet up and relax. However, if you believe that, then you really don't know me very well. I should clarify it and say I'm going to try really hard to do nothing but that certainly goes against my nature. I will make a concerted effort to take things at a much slower pace because I have crashed and hit the wall so to speak. One of the things that I find challenging is that I love to write, so for me, a day when I don't write is uncomfortable - it just feels wrong. I also use it as a distraction tool to manage my chronic pain, so the combination of wanting to do it and having to do it is a dynamic motivator which I have to fight in order to relax.

Although I didn't put anything down on paper, I did do a lot of thinking about my new novel. I'm beginning to look at the story arc and the characters involved in this paranormal murder mystery. It's still in the very early stages but things are beginning to come together and I should have a story outline before too long. It will be a stand alone novel with a single point of view - at least that's the plan at the moment. That will allow me to have a writing project to work on while I'm sending out query letters for my novel and my children's picture books and we're filming the cooking videos.

Best wishes always…

P.S. Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog! My intention is to keep followers up to date on my latest writing adventures. My current focus is on fiction genres including children's picture books and Women's Fiction novels focusing on fantasy, romance and historical elements. I'm also preparing to write an epic fantasy for the young adult audience. As a debut author I face all the challenges of breaking into the traditional publishing market. I need your interest and support to do so! Please consider following me here and on other social media platforms, which you can access on the Home page of my author's web site. I'll be adding more in the weeks to come so please check back from time to time as I add new non-fiction materials to my entries. Thank you so much, in advance, for following my blog. You are potentially helping me enrich the lives of future readers. I just need this break to attract my first agent representation! Your efforts will make all the difference! Thank you once again.
