This morning I took a few moments to begin the storyboarding for my children's picture book called A MOST CURIOUS MAGICAL TALE. I had images, in my mind, for one particular part of the manuscript. The challenge today was to get those images onto paper. The first illustration I sketched was a picture of Bruce the Spruce with the baby dragon jammed tight in his mouth, his tail flailing. In the second image, I sketched another section of that part of the manuscript where the child comments about seeing Phildor laying unconscious, apparently dead, on the path. These two sketches appear in the gallery along with annotations about their place on the storyboard and what they represent. If you have a moment please jump over to the gallery and take a look . If you mouse over the image you'll see the text displayed. I hope to use this as part of my presentation when I query an agent looking for representation later this week.
Tonight, Peter and I plan to begin the initial taping of our first cooking video. This episode will feature how to make a roux and give a bit of background material for the series. We have decided to tape later in the evening in order to better control the lighting for the videos. Our plan is to tape tonight and again tomorrow night in hopes that we can get several episodes ready for release next week.
Best wishes always…
P.S. Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog! My intention is to keep followers up to date on my latest writing adventures. My current focus is on fiction genres including children's picture books and Women's Fiction novels focusing on fantasy, romance and historical elements. I'm also preparing to write an epic fantasy for the young adult audience and a standalone paranormal murder mystery. As a debut author, I face all the challenges of breaking into the traditional publishing market. I need your interest and support to do so! Please consider following me here and on other social media platforms, which you can access on the Home page of my author's web site. I'll be adding more in the weeks to come as my son and I create a YouTube gluten free cooking series, so please check back from time to time as I add new non-fiction materials to my entries. Thank you so much, in advance, for following my blog. You are potentially helping me enrich the lives of future readers. I just need this break to attract my first agent representation! Your efforts will make all the difference! Thank you once again.
